Googlebook won't save MFA code

Hi. I saw this thread, but I can’t post on it so I’m opening a new one.
https://www.1password.community/1password-at-home-31/1password-on-googlebook-25788

Dell Googlebook.
Issue: The 1Password app won’t take my MFA token. It says “1Password was unable to save your two-factor token”.

I’ve restarted the Googlebook, checked for udpates, uninstalled the app, logged in by entering everything and by scanning a QR code, etc. Nothing has worked.

The app has a red cloud with a line through it and the app is offline.

The Edge and Chrome browser extension both say:
Integration status: Connection Problem
Please make sure the 1Password app is unlocked

Hello @verdugan! 👋

Thanks for reaching out. Are you trying to use the 1Password for Android app on your Dell Googlebook and that’s where you’re seeing the MFA errorr message? Or are you seeing the MFA error message in the browser extension itself?

The Edge and Chrome browser extension both say:
Integration status: Connection Problem
Please make sure the 1Password app is unlocked

This would be normal on ChromeOS (or Googlebook OS) devices. The 1Password browser extension can only connect to the desktop app on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It can’t connect to the mobile Android app and you’ll need to unlock them separately.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi @1P_Dave

I’m having issues with the 1Password Android app only. The Edge and Chrome browser extensions are working. The browser extensions can’t connect to the App, but the issue is on the app side, not the extensions.

Details of Android app:
Version 8.12.40.

I log in with password. I enter my MFA code. I get a message that it can’t be saved. I can see my account and get passwords, but the app is in offline mode (red crossed out cloud icon). If I click on that icon, I am prompted for my code, but it fails. The error message says “1Password was unable to save your two-factor token”.
I have to reenter my password each time I open the app. I don’t even get prompted to use biometrics.

Details of Chrome Extension:
Version 8.12.4.11
I log in. I have to click ‘Finish signing in’ and a new tab opens in chrome where I enter my password and token. It works.

Details of Edge Extension:

Version 8.12.4.11
I log in with password only. I must have entered my two-factor token at some point. I don’t have to reenter it each time.
