I'm getting the same thing. The IP address indicates my laptop rather than other devices. I am currently guessing that it's due to the fact that I'm running the macOS Sequoia beta.

A quick patch to block those auto signs request or the new tab requesting extension configurations/tutorial would be enough to stop all those complains.

Instead of making it difficult to see how to stop the annoying bug, 1Password should have just release a patch until the issue is actually fixed and released “eliminating” the patch.

You can do a better job with all the money we pay for this tool.

@Apocalypse In defense of 1Password, this only happens when users are running the iOS 18.3 beta, so I can understand that this is not as high priority as some of their other work might be.

On the other hand, I have turned off the extension on my iPhone and iPad and still get some of those emails but not as many. I'm not sure how that can be. Maybe because I am running macOS 15.3 beta with the 1Password for Safari extension?

*Yeah, here's what's happing from 1PW support--->

From what you've described, it seems you are running into a recently identified issue that our Development team is actively addressing. This issue specifically affects users on the iOS 18.3 beta and macOS 15.3 beta, where extension storage in Safari 18.3 beta is frequently cleared.

Direct feedback to Apple has been submitted, and our Development team is working on a solution. I've added your case to our internal tracker for this issue. In the meantime, reverting from the beta back to the latest stable public release of macOS/Safari is the recommended workaround.

They are actively testing a version to resolve the issue. Until then I've got it working fine with Chrome and Firefox for Mac and I've updated it on my Mac Mini M4 to download the nightly version of 1PW nightly version for the Mac with high hopes one of those updates will manifest a fix.

I understand I am running beta macOS which honestly may be the issue but this issue is so annoying to me I am considering wiping my MacBook back to public software. Basically the 1password extension for safari will persistently every few min create two new tabs in safari basically doing what it does when you initially install the extension. I will try to get screenshots next time it does this. I already tried uninstalling the add on and reinstalling it. It did not start happening until I updated to 15.3 beta 1 a few days ago unfortunately.

1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.56 (81056028)
Extension Version: 8.10.56.28
OS Version: macOS 15.3
Browser: Safari

A timetable for the resolution of this annoying bug would be more than welcome

I switched off extensions, but unfortunately it keeps happening. I suppose it’s the correct behavior if the extensions is off.
