Question

Touch ID keeps getting turned off

Touch ID keeps getting shut off. I select to use Touch ID in settings. After some time, sometimes overnight, I come back and the box for Touch ID is unselected and I have to type my password. This is on my Desktop Mac Mini at home, so it is set to use Touch ID, and never have to type password. This started about 2-3 nightlies ago.

For those on BETA or Nightlies, 1Password for Mac 8.10.36 (81036032) appears to have resolved the issue. Yesterday and Today seems to be working as expected. 👍🏻

@jlazzis

Please use the following steps to create a diagnostic report. Especially, so if you've encountered this recently.

  1. Open 1Password.
  2. Press Command and comma (Control and comma on Windows). The 1Password Preferences/Settings will open.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Select Send Diagnostics.
  5. Select Reveal to locate the report in your Downloads folder.

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

I have the same issue.
Every day pretty much, I have to go back to settings and re-enable Touch ID, Apple Watch in the Security menu and the CLI (in the Developer menu)

I have followed the "Send Diagnostics" steps above, but did not receive a response from the BitBot assistant...
