Unable to unlock with Apple Watch

I am running 1Password for Mac 8.10.23 on a Mac mini 2023 (M2) and can not unlock with Apple Watch. My Mac is setup to unlock with Apple Watch and 1Password gives me the option to unlock with my Apple Watch or to use my account password, but the Apple Watch is not asking me to approve. My Apple Watch is a Series 6 watch (model a2292) with version 10.2.

Just as another data point, I have had the same issue as @RickyRed, repeatedly. Apple Watch will unlock my Mac consistently. Intermittently, 1Password will just stop prompting for watch unlocks, and the little watch icon will disappear from the app's unlock window. In settings, the "Touch ID" checkbox will be present, but grayed out. So far, @RickyRed’s procedure has worked for me to restore watch functionality in 1Password. But this happens to me intermittently, not just the one time. M1 MacBook Pro, Apple Watch series 6, Watch OS 10.3.1, 1Password for Mac 8.10.28 (81028034)

@CHeard

Welcome to the community! I'm sorry that your Apple Watch is sometimes not working to unlock 1Password on your Mac. The next time that the issue occurs, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

@1P_Dave

Your steps at the head of this post always fix this issue for me. But this issue keeps coming up and restarting everything takes time. This issue happens to me just about 1 a month. Is there something I am doing that is exacerbating it? Are there steps/procedures to reduce the frequency of this issue re-occurring?

@Illusion5

I'm sorry that the steps only temporarily resolve the issue before it comes back. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

Similarly to the previous commenter. Removing the Apple Watch from the system and adding it back restore the ability to unlock 1Password with the watch.
1Password is the only application having this issue, and it happens often. I am have issues unlocking the same Mac with my watch.

@ddacunha

I'd recommend emailing a diagnostic report to the technical team for further review.

  1. Open 1Password.
  2. Press Command and comma (Control and comma on Windows). The 1Password Preferences/Settings will open.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Select Send Diagnostics.
  5. Select Reveal to locate the report in your Downloads folder.

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

So now that any number of people are having this issue since the most recent release, is it being fixed or can we get a bump back to the previous version that did not have this problem? Or is there some magic hackery that needs to be done....and should be publicly shared?
