Hi,

For what it’s worth, I encountered the issue with IOS some months ago, but not until recently did I experience it under macOS. Now I’m seeing the issue on two Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 26 (currently 26.5.2). These two Macs are logged into different Apple Accounts. The issue still occurs under iOS.

I have the same issue on Windows. Cant’t believe it takes this long to fix this bug. Also setup that my favourites show when opening 1Password and that also doesn’t work

Hi @Ebbe1412, I’m sorry to hear you’re running into this as well. Just to clarify, the known issues mentioned in this thread are specific to macOS and iOS, and I haven't come across reports of this on Windows just yet. I've done some testing on Windows, but haven't been able to reproduce it so far.

To ensure I’m taking the right reproduction steps - are you seeing exactly the same behaviour as others have described in this thread, where after closing and reopening the app, your selected collection is forgotten and it reverts to showing All Accounts, or do the circumstances when this occurs differ at all?

Regarding 1Password not opening to your Favourites - just to check, is this happening in the browser extension or the desktop app? The “Open 1Password to” setting is specific to the browser extension, so depending on where you’re seeing the issue, it may or may not be expected behaviour.

Hello,

Yes, it is on Windows. When I start 1Password All Accounts are visible. Then I change it to my desired collection. Then I close 1Password. After opening it again after a while it is set to All Accounts again.

I use the Nightly version and it has been like this form a while now.

I use the Windows App. The version is 8.12.30 (81230014) at the moment.

Regarding the favorites. This works, but after selecting the right collection it displays All Items.

Good news on iOS: a fix is already available in the latest beta. I don't have a confirmed date for when it'll reach the stable release, but it's on its way.

Wrote this all up before I found this thread, but basically “what he said” and it’s super, super frustrating to waste time on a simple, simple feature that existed for years. Anyway:

I use a Collection ("Few," 4 vaults) to limit what I see 99% of the time. The problem is the app won't hold it: on every unlock/relaunch — and after opening an item via Quick Access/Autofill — it reverts to All Vaults instead of staying on my Collection. There's no setting to make a Collection the default view.

In 1Password 7 I could just turn off "Show in All Vaults" per vault and it stuck permanently. That option is gone in 8, and Collections don't replace it because (a) all vaults still appear in the sidebar and Autofill, and (b) the selected Collection doesn't persist.

Two requests:

Add a "set as default Collection" option that survives unlock, relaunch, and Quick Access.
Bring back per-vault "Exclude from All Vaults" / "Show in All Vaults."

Right now I have to reselect my Collection multiple times a day. Mac desktop app, latest version, and also iPhone and iPad apps, latest versions.

Please PLEASE put this functionality back!
