Adding Github Passkey prompts Chrome password manager (macOS, Chrome 153)

Heya,

 

I’m trying to add a Github passkey to my 1password on macOS/Chrome. After choosing which item to add the passkey through the 1password extension/passkey flow, the browser prompt then comes up to ask me where to save the passkey. passkey is not added to 1password.

 

1password is my default password manager, and even more surprisingly, Chrome’s password manager is disabled entirely.

Hi ​@kamasheto, I’m sorry to hear that 1Password isn’t prompting to save your Github passkey, and the browser prompt is handling it instead, despite Chrome’s password manager being disabled.

Could you reproduce this behaviour, then create and share a 1Password diagnostics report:

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to: support@1password.com
