1Password in FileMaker Pro
As a longtime user of both 1Password and FileMaker Pro I still wonder if it isn’t possible to somehow use 1Password to automatically fill username/password when I open up a FileMaker database.
Since I’m not just a user but a developer I need to open up different databases a lot every day. And although I store my passwords in 1Password there is no way to auto-enter them directly. I still need to copy-paste (that’s the downfall of using a different password for every login) the password from 1Password to FileMaker Pro.

Thanks Dave,
This apparently doesn’t seem to work within the login dialog for FileMaker Pro.
I cannot use the command-backslash in the fields.Good suggestion, but unfortunately not working.

I'm sorry that Universal Autofill isn't working. So that we can take a closer look, I'd like to ask you to try to fill again and then immediately create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your Mac:
Send a diagnostics report (Mac)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:
- A link to this thread:

- Your forum username: Gerard
- A screenshot of the prompt that you're trying to fill into.
You should receive an automated reply with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!-Dave

Hello Gerard! 👋
Thank you for reaching out! If you're on a Windows PC then you can use auto-type to fill your login credentials into other apps:
On the Mac, you can try using Universal AutoFill although that feature is designed to login into apps themselves rather than fill to open databases. Let me know if that doesn't apply for your situation.-Dave
