Central Control for Autofill Exclusions in 1Password Business

It would be very helpful if administrators in 1Password Business could set a policy to disable autofill for specific domains or subdomains. For internal portals like Topdesk we don’t need login items, and autofill only gets in the way. As an admin, I’d like to be able to centrally push this setting to a group, so users don’t have to configure it themselves. This would remove frustration for our team and make management much easier.

This mainly happens when we create a new ticket. 1Password tries to fill in the name field, which is meant for the person who registered the ticket, but instead it suggests the name of the 1Password account. Also, when closing the ticket page, the 1Password dialog box remains on the screen and sometimes covers important information. We need to refresh TopDesk to get rid of it.

Thank you for the reply. Our development team may be able to update the recipe for the page in question to improve 1Password's behaviour here. Could you provide the following:

      1. Open the website in question until you can see the search field that you're referring to.
      2. Right-click on the page and click "1Password - Password Manager" > Help > Collect Page Structure.

Attach the resulting JSON file to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

      With your email please include:

      • A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password-work/central-control-for-autofill-exclusions-in-1password-business/161079
      • Your forum username: WitchingWard
      • A link to the specific affected webpage.
      • A screenshot of the field in question and the suggestion 1Password provides.

Also, when closing the ticket page, the 1Password dialog box remains on the screen and sometimes covers important information. We need to refresh TopDesk to get rid of it.

If you can include a screenshot of the webpage after this happens then our team can take a look at this as well.

Once you send the email, you should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

  • Hello WitchingWard! 👋

Thank you for the feature request! While I can't make any promises, I've filed this with our product team so that they can look into adding such a feature in the future.

I'm sorry that 1Password is getting in the way. Are you able to tell me a little more about what you see when 1Password is enabled on this page? Is 1Password suggesting logins or passwords in fields that it shouldn't be?
