Default sort order in vaults

My question is similar to Sorting gets constantly reset to "Date Modified" | 1Password Community but relates to the the Chrome browser extension.

The company I work for has well over a hundred vaults for our customers, and the entries are consistently across the vaults to allow information to be found. These entries are frequently updated when external information such as users and passwords alters, and so the default browser sort order of Date Modified makes no sense for us.

We also have a short timeout period enforced by company policy so users are frequently having to log back into 1Password.

Is there a way for each user to store their default sort order (which would be Title) so that it would use this across sessions?

Thanks

Thank you for confirming that you're referring to the web app at 1Password rather than the browser extension. This is indeed a known issue that our development team is aware of, hopefully it can be fixed in a future update soon.

Since we have another thread already open for the issue, I'll close this one.

    Hi 1P_Dave

I am referring to when you use the browser to log into https://company_name.1password.eu. I think I applied the wrong tag to my initial question.

    1. Select All Vaults and the list of vaults appears on the left
    2. Then select one of those Vaults

This displays the entries for the chosen vault just to the right of the list of vaults. These entries are by default sorted by Date Modified and I can find no way to change the default sort order so that it is remembered the next time I have to log in.

  • Hello Chris01! 👋

Thank you for reaching out! Just to clarify: are you referring to viewing items in the 1Password browser extension's pop-up that appears when you click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar?

Or are you referring to the web app at 1Password.com? Do you and your team use the desktop app at all?
