2FA support on Ubuntu
My wife has fingerprint-reader support to access 1Password on her Mac. Is there a way to do the same on my ThinkPad, currently running Ubuntu 22.04 (although could be upgraded, if that helps)? I have not been able to find stable support for the fingerprint reader on this machine, and I don't know if 1Password would support it. Integration with the 1Password Firefox plugin is the key. I would be willing, might even prefer, using a an external fingerprint reader, if this would work.13Views0likes1CommentIssues with opening the app on multiple devices
Why does the app suck so much across devices lately. I have issues on iPad, iPhone and Mac. With the app just not opening when I press on the icon or the keyboard shortcut. I’ve been through the pain with support before of diagnosing issues like this and reinstalling the app etc but I shouldn’t have too. How wide spread are these issues because I get them on every device and they come and go. They’re more common for sure on iPad and iPhone. But lately Mac is not far behind but at least with the Mac app fully closing it and restarting it pretty much always fixes the issue.16Views0likes1CommentDo not offer to save Yubikey Generated OTP
When logging into Delinea Secret Server at work, I am presented with a two step process for logging in. Step 1 is your normal username and password (plus AD domain since it is AD integrated). 1Password fills in username/password as expected (domain is already filled in). Submit. Step 2 is a "RADIUS Password" prompt, which is expecting an OTP generated by my Yubikey. The field is tagged as a "new password", so 1Password "helpfully" suggests a newly generated but totally inappropriate password. I ignore that and push the button on my Yubikey to insert the OTP. What gets really annoying though is 1Password then prompts me to save the "new password" I just used. It's a hardware generated OTP; I obviously don't want to save that. Other observations: The login page is an ASPX and the URL doesn't change between step 1 and step 2. I can't use "Hide on this page" because then 1Password doesn't autofill username/password. I seem to remember that autocomplete="new-password" used to be a means to disable autofill before the days of suggesting new passwords and when password managers started to ignore autocomplete="off". This probably used to be an effective means to stop a password manager from getting in the way but not anymore. How can I get 1Password to ignore this "RADIUS Password" and stop offering to save a new password without just disabling 1Password entirely? Obviously a purely 1PW solution is best, but I am not opposed to using using Userscripts or Usestyles to accomplish my goal (if that's even possible).Solved31Views0likes2CommentsTouch ID Unlock Works in macOS Desktop App but Not in Browser Extension (Chrome/Edge)
I’m facing an issue with a user trying to use Touch ID to unlock 1Password in their browser. Touch ID works fine in the macOS desktop app, but does not function in the 1Password browser extension for either Chrome or Edge. System Info: - MacBook running latest version of macOS - 1Password desktop app: Installed and working with Touch ID - Browsers: Chrome and Edge (both up to date) - 1Password extension: Installed from Chrome Web Store / Edge Add-ons - Browser profile: Not managed (same issue occurs in fresh profiles) Problem: The browser extension does not prompt for Touch ID, even when the desktop app is unlocked and running. The extension always shows this status: Integration status: Connection problem "Please make sure the 1Password app is unlocked." The app is definitely unlocked, and this warning persists across all troubleshooting attempts. Troubleshooting Performed (in both Chrome and Edge): - Verified under Settings > Security that Touch ID is enabled - Restarted the desktop app and browser multiple times - Rebooted the system - Removed and reinstalled the 1Password browser extension - Cleared browser cache before reinstalling - Confirmed macOS, browsers, 1Password app, and extension are all up to date Would appreciate any suggestions or next steps. Happy to provide diagnostics if needed.Solved16Views0likes1CommentBlacklist site for asking to save passwords?
Is there a way to stop 1password asking to save my password for a specific site (in this case the local development version of the site I'm working on). I know I can turn off it asking me for all sites, but I only want to turn it of for a few sites. Other password managers have the "Don't ask again on this site" button that I would like to have.Solved21Views0likes1CommentBrowser should detect if you have multiple 1password accounts
Hi I use 1Password for Business and Personal and am logged into both in the app. When I've unlocked my business account, and go to login to a website that is stored in my personal, I cannot get my personal credentials without first manually opening and authenticating the personal account within the 1password app. It would be amazing if the browser extension detected that you have multiple accounts, that there are no credentials in the unlocked account. So offers the option to authenticate the other account to check if there are credentials there. Small tweak, but would be amazing. Please please please do this!!!27Views0likes2CommentsInstalling 1Password Chrome Extension on Windows Remote Desktop Server Isn't Working
For Windows Server Remote Desktop sessions, I can't install the 1Password extension. Has anyone else ran into this? We have tried reinstalling Chrome, running as admin, confirming install mode is active, and restarting the server.Solved33Views0likes5CommentsStop prompt to download app
How can you stop the pop-up that annoyingly keeps spamming your account to download the app or "Safari will forget your Secret Key if you do not sign in to 1Password every 7 days. If you don’t have it stored anywhere else, you won’t be able to access your account." I have downloaded the emergency kit. I do not want to download the app! And you can't click out of it unless you click "Or, save the emergency kit". I have downloaded the emergency kit! There has got to be a better way than forcing people to install they do not want to install!!! It's like a browser hijack within a paid service! "Hey, download the app". No thanks. "Hey download the app". No. "Hey download the app" STOP!!!!! "Hey download the app". If I wanted to download the app I would download the app. Stop spamming to download your app! How about finding a better way to handle the authentication than trying to force people to install they don't want to install?!? You are, after all, a company that sells authentication.Solved37Views0likes1Comment
