Stop Email Invitation Reminders?

We provision users via an Azure AD Enterprise Application with a SCIM bridge. We have some users who were invited ahead of schedule and are not ready to complete onboarding yet. After a few days, they receive reminder emails to join.

Is there a way to prevent those reminder emails from being sent to selected users until they are ready to onboard? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.
