Vault names longer than 60 characters
Hi 1Password team!
Are there any plans to increase the character limit for vault names from 60 characters to a higher number?
This would be very helpful for our company because we have a large number of vaults and are reaching the character limit, which means we cannot name the vaults as we would like to.

Thank you for the question! I did some testing and I see that there is currently a 60 character limit when creating a new vault using 1Password.com however you can create vaults with longer names when using the 1Password desktop app. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.
That being said, I've filed an internal work item to have our team look into this further. I believe that the 60 character limit is to prevent rendering and UI issues in the various 1Password apps but the team will investigate further to bring consistency to the experience.

OMG! You're right! I never realized that the 60 character limit was just in the brwoser and that you're able to do that in the desktop app! 😂 I tried it and there it works without any problems! I always used the 1Password Admin Console in the browser to create or manage vaults.
I also tried to rename existing vaults and it also works in the desktop app! 👍🏼
To explain our requirements: We have several vaults for different combinations of permission groups (roles in our company) and therefore we named the vaults with the granted permissions for this groups so that the employees have the transparency when they create an item in such a vault which roles have access to this item and vault.
