1P must be open for it to fill in pw in FF. Is this usual behavior?
Newly installed 1P and extension in FF, and turned ext. on. iMac, Big Sur.
When I try to use 1P to fill in usernames/passwords in FF, the message that comes up is "open 1P", so I have to fill in the master password.
I thought 1P would fill in these for me without being open, so this makes 1P vastly less useful.
Am I doing something wrong [likely!]?

Hello @pellerbe,
Based on your description, it seems like the 1Password in your browser has trouble connecting with the desktop app. The new 1Password should share the lock state and integrate with the app automatically. That said, if that doesn't work for you, let us try these steps to see how it works, and we can go from there.
Give your computer a restart to ensure that we don't have any pending process that prevents 1Password from connecting with your browser.
Open and unlock the 1Password desktop app.
Open your browser > Wait a few seconds to see if 1Password is unlocked or not. If not, please right-click the 1Password icon in the browser toolbar > Settings > Scroll down to "Integrate with 1Password app" and toggle it off and on again.
Best regards,
Nhat Nguyen.
