1P on Android inconsistant

For over a decade I have been using 1Password on basically all available platforms. Currently it is runnning on my iMac, on a Windows 11 PC, on different tablets with Android and also iOS.

But my problem is with my Android Smartphone - currently it is a Samsung Galaxy S24 PLUS (but the problem has existed also on my previous Android Smartphones).

The problem:
1P behaves very inconsistant on Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge on my Smartphone. Meaning, sometimes it will extend the keyboard (Gboard from Google) with suggestions and let me use a login from 1Password and other times it will not show up at all. So I have to manually open 1P and copy and paste username/Password into the browser.

I have not figured out when/how/why this is happening - I just know it is annyoing ;-)

The same website/login on my iMac does NOT have the issue, so 1P does know what website I am looking at -  its only happening on Android.

What I can do/try to fix this issue?

Using 1Password for Android 8.10.60 Production Channel

1P is very inconsistent compared to others. Autofill works 50% where Bitwarden works about 80% of the time. This is the main reason why my family could not migrate from Bitwarden. However, 1P desktop works great.

  • Hi Dave, I can reproduce it with https://www.cyberport.de/

Which is a german online shop. It simply will not work for me there with Microsoft Edge on my Android Smartphone.  Not sure how you could test ist there - as you would need to create an account there though.

I will add more examples if I find more or can remember were 1P did not work.

  • Hello rosenkrieger! 👋

I'm sorry that you're seeing inconsistent behaviour when filling your login information using 1Password on your Samsung Galaxy S24. You wrote:

Is this issue reproducible with the same same website and browser each time? Or do you randomly see different behaviour even when accessing the same website in the same browser?

Are you able to provide some examples of websites where autofill isn't working correctly on your Samsung Galaxy phone?
