1p8 clean search field instead of keeping previous search

ag_mike_d Thanks for looking into this and getting back to me. The issue of the search field not getting focus after clearing it with the x button does indeed appear to be fixed in the latest beta (8.9.6).
Not sure I'm a fan of the new behaviour that gives the search field focus when navigating back to the results screen though, feels unexpected and not overly helpful.
