I have to agree. The UI. just doesn't seem intuitive. When opening for the first time why not have the Categories in the sidebar instead of having to go into Settings and check it? Seems that's something that a good many people would use.
Another is the sorting which is horrible, at least in my experience. I select Favorites, sort by "Recently Used/Most Recent". I have exactly 1 entry in Yesterday when I used multiple of may Favorites yesterday. Only 1 under the "1 Week" area and my personal Apple ID, which I use close to everyday is down as "Never Used". All Items/Frequently Used/Most Used is just as incomprehensible.
If it ain't broke don't fix it? This is the phrase that comes to mind since using v.8.
