I am unable to access my 1Password Family account despite multiple recovery attempts. Issue details: I have regenerated my Secret Key as part of the recovery steps. I am unable to log in using my credentials on any device. All devices have been signed out, and no active sessions are available to me. Family members only have Member access and no Organizer/admin permissions. Recovery attempts consistently fail with the message: “Recent attempt was cancelled." This occurs across multiple devices and browsers. Impact: I am fully locked out of my account. No Family Organizer is available to approve recovery. This is blocking access to stored credentials and operational access. Already sent a couple of emails to the support team and received only the ticket number. This is frustrating and not the service we expect from 1Password. Ticket number: 594065 Account type: Family subscription20Views0likes4CommentsSlow performance on new MacBook
Last weekend I moved my stuff from my old 27" iMac to a brand new 16" MacBook. The good part is Apple did a good job on creating the environment to alsmost smoothly transfer my account(s). The bad part is (on the 1Password side) it seems 1Password needs Rosetta to run. Never expected this. Why its mainly a bad thing is it is super slow in performance. I would have expected it to be more snappy, but when searching or clicking it is as if I didn’t transfer to a brand new Mac but took my pervious MacBook from 13 year ago and started using that. Any clues on how I can speed 1Password up to make more like it’s using a M5 processor instead of an ancient Intel?16Views0likes2CommentsmacOS Safari extension not functioning
About a week ago, the macOS Safari extension stopped functioning properly. I have done everything from restarting my MacBook, force closing Safari, uninstalling the extension, reinstalling the extension. Nothing seems to fix it. The current behavior is that trying to unlock the 1Password Safari extension comes to a stalemate. Nothing is opening it. I have to manually copy and paste passwords from the 1Password app, which does not work for passkeys. I've uploaded a https://youtu.be/gIreIMuxlcA. I have attached a video recording of the behavior. macOS: Tahoe 26.3.1 (a) Safari: 26.3.1 (21623.2.7.111.2) Safari 1Password extension: 8.10.82.2931Views0likes1Comment1Password 7 on iOS presents inconsistent logins
I still use 1Password 7 as my organisational security policies doesn't allow sync via 1Password.com. This means that the 1Password extension doesn't show my logins on iOS Safari. Instead, I nominate 1P7 as the default password manager in iOS and disable the Passwords app. This works well but produces an inconsistent experience. Occasionally, the option to log in with 1P7 is cleanly presented as a smiley face, which possibly indicates FaceID integration: Other times and for most websites, the login appears in a messy way with a key icon above the keyboard, appearing to hook into Safari's inbuilt password manager: Is there a way to force Safari always to offer direct FaceID login, or is this something that must be supported by the website? An explanation of what's going on behind the scenes would be helpful!18Views0likes1CommentMacOS clamshell regression
1Password version: 1Password for Mac 8.12.12 (81212044) MacOS version: 26.3.1 (a) Since a few versions ago (I think release in february/march), my 1Password workflow has been messed up. Most of the time, I have my MacBook in clamshell mode, connected to a docking station. I have Touch ID / biometric unlock enabled. With this biometric unlock enabled, I could always unlock my vaults by getting the MacOS system password prompt. This has stopped working, now when I fill in the system password prompt, nothing unlocks and I have to unlock each vault manually again. It's really frustrating, because this has worked for a long time (even on Linux desktop, but not sure if it regressed there as well).9Views0likes0CommentsNative Password AutoFill Extension macOS
So one of the people in my family subscription for 1P relies heavily on iCloud Keychain. The nice piece about using the native autofill extension is entries from both show up together in-line. This happens on iOS (or if you use other password managers it secure by each provider but both are offered the same way together). in terms of migration and allowing those who wish to use both depending on the context. It would be nice to support the native autofill extension, but further it limits exposure or need for safari extension. Should someone not want to use or can't install the extension due to work policy or just rather not use safari extensions thanks. 1Password Version: 8.x Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS 12.6 Browser:_ SafariSolved8.9KViews19likes227CommentsLocked out of account. Recovery doesn't work. No answer from support.
Individual 1P user here. Changed my account password last night and was immediately kicked out of all logged in sessions on web, iPhone, Mac. Stupidly did not record my new password prior to changing it and it wasn't saved to my MacOS clipboard either. Going through the recovery process and it seems I'm just blocked or locked out. I have my Emergency Kit (sans new password) and I have my recovery code. When I entered my recovery code for the first time I got this message: "Login occurred too recently." I waited a bit and tried again and got: "Recent attempt was cancelled." So, I sent an email to 1P support. Haven't heard back and that was nearly 12 hours ago. Just tried to use my recovery key again and still get "Recent attempt was cancelled." Having PAID for a product I need to use but which I am now locked out of with seemingly no way to use the recovery methods has me beyond frustrated. I know I'm stupid for not recording the new password before I changed it (it was 100 characters long) but, come on—this is why recovery methods exist! And the fact that even that isn't working, well, I'm an unhappy customer.Solved194Views1like8CommentsCan not open 1Password7 on MacOS 26.4.1
I can no longer access 1Password on my MacBook Pro, though it works fine on my iPhone and iPad. The error message I'm getting is below. I've already reached out to support and used the 1Password Troubleshooting app to generate and share logs, but haven't heard back yet. Has anyone run into this before? My support ticket ID is 572622. I haven't noticed this exactly on my extensions, but I have noticed that the browser has to be reset more frequently (Safari and Chrome) because the extension seems to freeze, even with 1Password Desktop App unlocked. However, I have been seeing your issue on my iPhone -- more frequently than expected, I have had to type in my password to unlock, rather than biometrics.30Views0likes3Comments
