1Password 8 - designed to take you backward
I keep shuffling between 8 and 7 for mac. The existing version 7 was perfect. But you guys stated implementing browser extensions that do not immediately sync to the desktop app, but to the cloud. This has created disconnected data. While login to the desktop app or when clicking on the browser icon, now frequently shows a loading icon for many seconds. Lots of bad performance & slow sync. I used 1password for like 7-8 yrs and I never saw this loading issue.
1) The 1p8 is a fancy design to make you confusing.
2) The search does not deliver results based no focus on category or vault selectedion on the right plane. It searches across all vaults and I see duplicate items.
3) Moreover, the dropdown search is a duplicate fancy search that overlaps the list view below. It is totally useless feature copied from Amazon search bars. Because of this limited dropdown, I have lost the find & shortlist function of the original search in 1p 7 that narrowed the list view.
4) The iPhone app keeps defaulting to all valuts even after selecting a particular vault for search
5) The feature to not to conceal password is removed. By default I have to always click revel button. Lot of clicks implemented
6) Earlier I use to open one team in a new window from browser extension or menu mini icon. But that's removed.
Why have you removed things that were working fine. The new versions should improve existing issues and add new features. But not remove things that work ok.
I am now again searching new product.
