Hi all. I'm testing the version 8 beta and thought I'd give one bit of feedback:
I miss the font used for password when they're revealed in 1P 7. The font in 8 seems significantly less readable. Is the old one, or something more like it, something that could come back?
Thanks!

Thank you @robeden! I've asked our design team to take a look at this, and see if it is something we can improve. π

Sure can! (Sorry, inner font nerd unleashing...)
Here are screenshots of a password in both:
7:
8:
Notice it's changed from a mono-spaced with serifs to a sans-serif, variable-width font. Note, for example, that the lowercase "i" has much less to distinguish it from something like a lowercase "l" (elle).
Due to those changes the version 7 font was about 15% wider:
All of that adds up to make it require a lot closer inspection to my eye. That "rim" section takes pretty close inspection to distinguish on a small screen at any kind of distance (if it's on a second monitor, for example).

Hey @robeden,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. Is there anything in particular you can identify that is more or less legible with one font vs the other? It would be helpful to have some specifics to present to the team. π
