1Password 8 beta search behavior

When I use the search field in the 1Password 8 beta, I would prefer it filter the main list view, rather than give me an additional "search result hover list". This additional search window is unnecessary, and it does not behave like other Mac apps. Furthermore, with the way it is setup now, when I type a search term, then have to press Cmd-Enter to really commit to the search, I have not found a way to use a keyboard shortcut to clear the search to get back to the full list.

My suggestion is to have the main list update itself after every key press, and then also allow me to escape the search mode by simply pressing Escape.
