1Password 8 for Android Beta 🤖

Big news, everyone. 1Password 8 for Android is now in Early Access! 🥳

With 1Password 8 for Mac, Windows, and Linux out in the wild, and iOS also in Early Access, you can now access the next generation of 1Password from all your devices.

There’s a lot to love here. 1Password 8 is powered by the new 1Password Core, which gave us an opportunity to make this release uniquely you and uniquely 1Password. There's a customizable home tab so you can put the things you access often front and center, and hide the things you might not need. We’ve also added the most feature-filled Watchtower experience we’ve ever created for Android.

Most importantly, it’s fast and fluid and a delight to use. Of course, this is an Early Access version, so some features will be added between now and the stable release.

To test the Early Access release:

When you get to the welcome screen, sign in to your 1Password account. If you are not yet subscribed to 1Password.com (or .ca🇨🇦 / .eu🇪🇺) see Setting up a new 1Password.com account for details on creating an account and migrating over your data.

As always, we’re eager to hear what you think as we get closer to a stable release. Share your thoughts by starting a new thread or contributing to an existing one.

Keep in mind:

  • You’ll need to be running Android 9 or higher to test
  • This release is compatible with all of our existing apps, so you can use 1Password 8 on your mobile device alongside 1Password 7 on your other devices.

    Setting up a new 1Password.com account

    If you're not subscribed to 1Password.com yet, there's never been a better time to start. We offer a 14-day free trial. Once you've signed up, move your existing 1Password data to a 1Password account before installing 1Password 8.

    Those with a 1Password license can trade it in for a special discount. To claim yours, start by signing up for a free trial and then email us your license and we'll give you 50% off your first 3 years or $50 off a $150 gift card.

    Don't forget to add your account to 1Password 7 before installing the beta. That way, your data can be migrated over automatically and ready to use when you sign in to the beta.
