1Password 8 has many more releases to come. Hopefully, we can improve on areas of concern for you. The original topic was about returning to 1Password 7. Is that what you are looking to do? If so, yes, it can certainly be done if you encounter something that is a show stopper in your opinion. Perhaps you'll give us another try like some of the diehard Mac users do after a couple of releases.
- Quit 1Password 8 and drag it to the trash. Do not use an app cleaner for this. Manually completing this step will keep your data safe. * Optional leave it here if you intend on trying 1Password 8 again. It can also be re downloaded later on.
- Double click
1Password 7.app.zipin your Applications folder to expand it. You can then remove the zip file from the Applications folder. * If you have removed 1Password 7 it can be downloaded here. Download 1Password for Mac - Open Safari and disable 1Password for Safari and enable the 1Password extension (likely version 7.9.4)
- Drag 1Password for Safari to the trash. * Optional leave it here if you intend on trying 1Password 8 again. It can also be re downloaded.
- Clarification. I was talking about how some Mac users do not update on a new release and wait until a x.1 or x.2 release to update.
