We've sorted out this issue in our beta and nightly builds of 1Password 8 for Mac. If you'd like to give it a try, you can switch to the beta release by following these steps.

Use 1Password beta releases

While I can't share specifics of when it will be making to the production release, I'm hopeful it will be soon.
