Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like 1Password might be having trouble communicating with 1Password in your browsers. To see what's going on, we'll need to take a closer look at 1Password on your device, so I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

With your email please include:

As for number 3, you can create a new collection and exclude that Attic vault. Use collections to create custom groups of vaults

To hide that vault from 1Password in the browser, right click the 1Password and choose Settings. You can then exclude vaults from All Vaults, where they won't be shown in the inline menu.
