1Password Access after Death, Legacy Contacts - when available?
Hi, as the posts from old forum-software is missing here again the question but within the new forums. What's the status concerning the topic? When will we get the feature? Any update?

I just wanted to ask if there has been any progress on this topic. I’m aware of the current method with the Emergency Kit, but I personally would prefer a solution similar to what Legacy Access in Bitwarden or Proton Pass offers, as it seems much more favorable.
Since this has also often been requested by many users here on the forum, I was wondering: are there any serious security concerns with such an approach, or is there another reason 1Password does not want to move in that direction?

I'm afraid there has been no movement on this subject, that I am aware of. It is very possible the team is working on this. I don't have direct insight into such developer activities. I only see a small fraction of the work going on behind the curtain.
Don't shoot the messenger, please. :) I'm right there with you and my request for the feature is beside all of yours. Please forgive me I'm going to add your request to the others. I try to grab each and every one to keep the momentum up and the keep the request before the products team.
