1Password extension doesn't remember position on toolbar between updates

This might be a safari issue rather than a 1Password one, but I have configured the 1Password icon in my safari toolbar to be on the right, next to the downloads button. Every time I update the extension via the App Store, it jumps back to the left next to the back button.
