Yes, the touch ID functionality is affected by the connection issue. You can still use the 1Password for Safari web extension independently. But you will need to unlock it with your 1Password account password.

Our development team is working on a fix, though I don't have an exact timeline for when it will be available. You can monitor the status of this issue here:
