1Password8 not updating with "Restart Now" button

Since updating to 1Password8, I repeatedly see an overlay on my 1Password window stating "1Password will update when you restart the app" and a "Restart Now" button. My suspicion is that...

is you home user folder on a different drive a /Volume by chance?

Thank you, this was the clue which provided a workaround. I do have an admin account on the boot volume (APFS SSD). Once I used that to update 1Password, my user account which is on a raid volume for storage and speed needs no longer has the issue. So until the beta is in public release, when prompted in the user account, I will just do updates in the admin account. I do the same for macOS updates so it's not an issue now that I know what was causing it.
