I was having the same issue and was able to solve it (so far!) the same way @ostertoaster did: Deleted the Chrome extension, restarted Chrome, reinstalled the extension, and so far everything is fine. I'm on an M1 MacBook Air running 11.6.2 and Chrome 99.something
