Hey cvadmin, I'm sorry about what you're seeing with 1Password in the browser. The extension should update automatically. However, it does typically require you to restart your browser. If you haven't closed and reopened your browser for a while, then you may get a prompt to update the extension by doing so.
It is strange that you are unable to fill your logins in Safari or Firefox. Let's look at 1Password in Safari first. Do you see the 1Password extension icon in Safari's toolbar? If so, what happens when you click on it? What steps do you typically use to fill your logins? Do you use a keyboard shortcut to do that?
