This is a good question. I see the importance of having guarded field titles on specific item types, but I also was frustrated that I couldn't modify it despite generally knowing what I am doing.

1P_David - please go ahead and submit the request for consideration. Maybe it could be an option under the advanced settings or if debug is toggled on.
