'Advanced' Search
Any plans to introduce more sophisticated search parameters - or am I missing a trick - e.g. - I want to search for
- all untagged entries?
- all records NOT associated with .com URL
- all records not tagged 'finances'
- all records that are in more than 1 vault
etc etc
Thank you

OS Version: Mac Sonoma 14.5

Thank you for those details. I can definitely understand the need to tidy up now and then and I've passed along your use case and requests to our team.
You might find collections to be a useful feature for keeping things more manageable when sharing logins with family. You can have one collection to just show you own logins, and another collection to see shared logins that you share with the rest of your family, or a particular family member:
You might also be able to find reused passwords, and any exact duplicates that you may have in the same vault, by using Watchtower:
I hope that helps a little bit. Thanks again for your feedback. 🙂

I have been a long time user for 1Password and recently opened up to 'family' - so even more passwords sit in different vaults - plus FINALLY stopped using Keychain - so all those passwords are now imported into 1 Password - net net - I have a LOT of Passwords. Some are old, wrong, some are multiple versions - some I have two versions because I need access to our bank - and so does my partner- so of course sometimes two different passwords - sometimes we will share - all good.
As designated IT support in the family - my job is to 'Keep It Simple' - so for example - go to a site and see 20 different choices of logins does not fit with the 'Simple' ethos - so I have been purging and merging to reduce and kill of stuff.
To do that using combinations of tags and emojis in password names to rapidly filter and been getting on swimmingly - but to keep going and finishing would help if I can filter out what I have done and focus on what is not done - what passwords are left with NO emoji in name OR tag ...
another example - why is the same password stored twice on two different domains for the same service ( I know why - so lets merge the records) - I do that - but can I be proactive and find other examples od this?)
... and and and -
A long answer - sorry - but the use case is bulk sorting of passwords so I can make it simple - kill of bad passwords etc etc
PS - Thankyou for the 'untagged' search filter - that is a start.
Happy to go into more specific if useful 0

Hello JPhilpin! 👋
Thank you for reaching out! You can find current search filters documented here:
For example, you can find all items with no tags by using the
=untaggedsearch filter.all records NOT associated with .com URL
all records not tagged 'finances'It's not possible to search for these types of queries at the moment, but I've filed a feature request on your behalf to have the product team look into developing such functionality.
all records that are in more than 1 vault
I'm happy to pass this request along to the team as well. Can you tell me more about how you would use a search filter like this? I'm interested in the use case.
