After update to 8.9.14 can't stay logged in with deck top icons

I updated to 8.9.14 and now the Firefox icon logs me out every 10 minutes and the icon in the url bar doesn't link to the webpage I'm on and offer a 1 click link and autofill the UN & PW. The main page is logged in fine after I changed it to "never" to stop it from logging out. This program worked perfectly before this update. I'm really ticked off. I'm really tired of companies "fixing" things that weren't broken and making the rest of us suffer. Do I need to uninstall 8 to get things to work?
