I'm sorry that you're running into trouble when creating a new item. Can you tell me a little more about the issue so that I can try to reproduce it on my end? Which field are you entering "myshop.com" into? And are you entering it into the desktop app or 1Password.com? 

Are you able to post a screenshot, making sure that nothing sensitive is revealed in the screenshot, showing me where the issue occurs?
