Behaviour of "Fill in Browser"?

Is there a way to make the "Fill in Browser" shortcut ⌘\ fill the username and password but NOT submit them to the website? I have a use case where I want to edit the information before submitting it...

Hey ooga,

I apologize for my misunderstanding - I'm not sure what you mean here:

I'd love to replace "click on the username field in the browser and choose the entry from 1P" with "use a keyboard shortcut** like ⌘\".

If you don't mind, may I ask you to further elaborate on what you'd like to see? Thanks so much.
