when i auto-fill in a field with my birthday it'll do dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy

I'm in the U.S. and have "birth date", "date of birth", and "birthdate" identity fields all displaying in m/d/yyyy format. I have the same issue on many websites: in the majority of cases, 1Password incorrectly fills the date as dd/mm/yyyy. I had to call an airline recently after I registered on their website and didn't catch this error. I can probably find many examples, but to get you started, here is one: BlueCross BlueShield (the U.S. health insurer)'s account registration at https://web9.hlthben.com/apps/ice/reg/member/1.

I'm sorry that your birth date is being filled using the wrong format, I've added the URL that you provided to the internal tracking item for the issue.

Thank you for providing the website address. I've passed this along to our development team, hopefully it can be fixed in a future version of 1Password.

  • I can't recall if it's every website.

The most recent time was on national student clearing house. They ask for your birth date when ordering university transcripts: https://tsorder.studentclearinghouse.org/school/select

  • Hello miguelmanalo! 👋

I'm sorry that your birthday isn't being filled correctly. Our developers do have an open issue where they're investigating improper date filling from identity items on certain websites. Are you able to share the address of the website where you ran into the issue?

Can you also tell me if you see the issue on every website? Or just one, or some, websites?
