Bug(?) - Search form doesn't clear when press toolbar search button

Not sure whether this behavior is intentional: whenever I press the search toolbar/nav button, if there'd been a previous search then the input doesn't clear, so I have to do so manually. Expected...

My apologies for the trouble ttod. I'm not an Android user but you might be able to press and hold to get the backspace to trigger with multiple taps. I know that's not the ideal solution here. I'm just looking to make this a little less problematic for you.
