3 years agoCan LastPass and 1Password co-exist while migrating from LastPass to 1Password?
I've started my 2-week trial. I've installed 1Password on my Mac and installed its Chrome browser extension. I have about 350 passwords on LastPass, and was hoping to migrate them by using LastPass to login to a website, expecting the 1Password Chrome extension to offer to save the login. Nothing happens even when I click on the 1Password chrome extension icon from the website's login page.
1Password Version: 8.9.11
Extension Version: 2.5.1
OS Version: mac OS 12.6.1
Browser:_ Chrome

Hi @donmadison,
Welcome to 1Password, glad to hear you found the information you were looking for regarding importing. Moving your data manually the way you described is also an option, while more involved, it would also be a chance to audit any items or websites that need to be updated.
You should see the 1Password icon within fields and if you have items saved for the website you're on, those suggestions will appear inline: Save and fill passwords in your browser
If that isn't the case, I recommend right-clicking the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar, selecting "Settings", and confirming that the following settings are enabled:
Let me know how that goes or if you have any questions. 🙂

I recently found the instructions for how to import items from LastPass into 1Password. That saves a lot of time, though I'll still want to subsequently change a lot of passwords to avoid future issues arising from the LastPass breach.
Is it true that after I've saved passwords in my 1Password vault, the chrome extension icon will appear in the corresponding website login pages to fill in the user names and passwords?
