Challenges with recent upgrade

1) I use primarily with the computer app (Windows). I have multiple accounts (different clients) and utilize many vaults within each account. I have favorites in each. How do I get to those Vault Specific Favorites? It used to be so easy. It would seem sensible to have 'Favorites' as an option in the drop down from All Categories in the center column, but nothing there. If I click on Favorites on the left column, under Accounts, I get ALL favorites for ALL vaults. NOT HELPFUL! Why would that be taken away? If it's still there, please advise how to find just as easily as before.

In 1Password 8 we've introduced Collections, which you can use to create custom groups of vaults from any accounts added to 1Password. As an example with your Favourites, when viewing a created collection and selecting favourites in the left-sidebar, only items from that collection will appear.

2) Adding important (to me) info when setting up a profile in a vault. Before the update, I could easily add account #'s, random notes, all kinds of extraneous info that might be important to me, but not necessarily under a category you prompt. Maybe a store address, or person you like dealing with, a cust serv phone #, just your security answers, without having to select from your list of questions, etc. Why would you take away the ability to keep random info on a profile? If it's still there, please advise how to find just as easily as before.

Based on your description, it sounds like you’re looking for custom fields for storing bits of data that don’t fall into the predefined fields - here’s how to create them in 1Password 8:
* Edit an item > click + Add more > Text

From there, both the "Text" title can be selected/edited and the "Text" data field used to add the data you'd like.

If I've missed the mark here, could you tell me a little more about this comment?

3) When adding info, I used to be able to move fields up/down as needed, for organization. I don't see that you can move items up/down any longer. Why would you take that away? If it's still there, please advise how to find just as easily as before.

This is an important feature that many users would like to see make a return in 1Password 8. This is on our roadmap to reimplement and I've included your comments in the feature request we're tracking, but we don't have an ETA on this.

4) When adding items in a section, there used to be a title field, then the data field. You could then copy just the data field if needed. Now it all runs together and when you select 'copy' you get the title field, not the data field. So not helpful.

When editing an item in 1Password 8, each field contains separate title and data sections, but I'm not sure I'm 100% understanding what you are seeing and have been unable to reproduce this. Can you elaborate further by providing a screenshot and a list of steps used to reproduce the behaviour you are seeing?

5) General visual appearance of computer app. Before the upgrade, the screen was crystal clear on my monitor. Now it's somewhat blurry

Could you tell us more about your setup? For example are you using multiple monitors with different DPI scaling? It has been noted that the ClearType settings may play a role here. Can you please try using the ClearType Text Tuner from the Windows settings to adjust your current ClearType settings? Does this help at all?

Another user was also able to solve these issues by changing the High DPI compatibility setting of 1Password.exe. You can find the 1Password.exe by searching Windows for %localappdata%\1password\app\8, then right-clicking it and selecting Properties > Compatibility tab > Change high DPI settings and check the first option, Program DPI.

6) I have access to several accounts, as I have multiple clients who use 1PW and I actively encourage others to set up 1PW accounts for obvious reasons, which may then be shared with me. This upgrade make a complete mess of this. I used to LOVE using as I could customize each record as needed, but this upgrade had made it so much harder. Super frustrated and disappointed!

I'm sorry to hear that you've been frustrated, but would like to thank you for trying 1Password 8 out and for encouraging other to use 1Password. 1Password 8 is a new app built from the ground up. We're continuing to make improvements based on important customer feedback like this. If you'd prefer, you can revert to 1Password 7 for Windows after uninstalling version 8. Version 7 is still fully functional and receiving security updates.

7) Using the phone (iOS) app. This has always been clunky. When I need to access an account on the fly, often times 1PW can't find it, through the website I'm accessing, so I have to go into 1PW, search for the profile, then copy/paste (re-signing in each time I leave 1PW), just to get the info that won't auto-fill for me. Is there a setting I can change to make this useful?

Sorry for the experience here with 1Password for iOS. It sounds as though you have the Lock on Exit setting enabled. To help with the need to re-sign into 1Password after leaving the app, you can adjust that here:
* Tap Setting > Security
* Toggle off Lock on Exit

If available to you on your device, you can also enable Touch ID or Face ID to ease the unlock process with 1Password for iOS.
