Thank you for the additional details. Have you considered using collections? Collections allow you to specify which vaults and items you see and search so that you can exclude the vaults you don't need during your regular day.

If you'd like to just edit or use items in your Private vault you can use a collection that only contains that vault. You can read more about Collections here: Use collections to create custom groups of vaults

I wanted the added security that I don't mistakenly put a password in a shared vault. certain items I wanted the added security that I have to open it beyond the master password to access it. added security for human error.

It's not currently possible to lock an individual vault. All vaults in your account are unlocked using your account password (or biometrics). The only way to lock vaults separately is to store that vault in a separate 1Password account.

Can you tell me a little more about why you'd like to be able to lock vaults individually? Perhaps there's a different way to accomplish your goal. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
