Combine multiple entries from search
From the search results (in the "new look" interface), I would like to select multiple entries and then be able to combine them into a single entry. Maybe all of the duplicate entries are from the import from multiple browsers; whatever the source, they are just clutter. They are a pain to declutter manually, and easy to do programmatically.
Thanks.

Thank you for writing in. I'm sorry about the frustration caused. I've shared your feedback with our Product team for further consideration to create a merge tool.
If you have any additional feedback to share with us, please let me know, and I can pass it along to the team.

I certainly have the same requirement as CrannyLammy . But then I've had this requirement ever since I moved from using only the 1Password desktop apps and getting a family sub. At that time I ended up with duplicates of my "Primary vault" and in many cases triplicates.
I seem to recall that there have been many requests for a duplicate removal tool, and always the answer has been that it's too difficult if the duplicates are not exact but that requests were made to the programming team. The suggestion to turn this into a "merge" tool seems a very reasonable compromise.
Really this duplicate issue has been on-going for years and never a useful response from 1PW as far as I know. They (1PW developers) seem to be far more focussed on introducing newer features and tweaking the interface, than solving a significant problem that has plagued users for years.

Thank you for the reply. While I can't make any promises, I've filed a feature request for a tool to merge different items together on your behalf. Our product team will consider building such a feature in the future.
For the time being, you'll need to merge the items together manually by moving your information into one item and then deleting the others. Let me know if there's anything else that I can help you with. 🙂

Yeah, I don't have any exact duplicates. It's more like the multiple different pages that ended up in one of my browser password databases. Would be a good feature to have - sometimes the passwords are different, so I'll do a password reset to a 1PW generated one, then add each URL from the other entries to the known good entry while deleting the other entries.

Thank you for the clarification. If the items are all exact duplicates of one another then you can use the duplicate finder tool in the 1Password desktop app to find and remove the duplicate items:
- Install the 1Password for Mac desktop app: Get the 1Password apps
- Once you've added your account, click on Watchtower in the sidebar.
- Scroll down and click on Show Items under Items with duplicates.
- Use Delete all duplicates to remove the duplicate items.
If you don't see the Items with duplicates category, or the Ticketmaster logins are not listed there, then it means that they're not exact duplicates. The only way to remove them is to make sure that all of the information that you need to keep is in one of the copies and then delete the others.
I hope that helps. 🙂

I start from the extension, click the 3 dots menu, enter 'ticket', and it brings up 4 Ticketmaster logins. I select one of them, choose Edit, then it opens 1Password.com in the browser for only the selected one. In the browser, I search for 'ticket', and it brings up the same 4 logins, which I then have to individually edit or delete to change the password for Ticketmaster. I think it's an overall workflow pain point.

Hello CrannyLammy, thanks for writing in.
To confirm, are you referring to the early-access view on 1Password.com or the 1Password extension in the browser?
