I recently tried to update the expiration date of a credit card and it wasn’t easy, simply because I had to place the cursor at the end of the year and the end of the month.
When the field is focused, perhaps automatically putting the cursor at the end of the year or selecting the content of the field would be easier. Also, when backspacing with an empty year field, automatically change focus to the month field.

I've had the same problem. I would love getting the selector wheels back that are in version 7 currently. Or something similar to the date selector in the driver's license item (date of birth)
