Different URLs, different username but same password (Active Directory)

Hi,

I have a couple of internal websites which are Active Directory integrated, unfortunately two of them use the login name i.e. lasseoe and the rest use my email address ie. mailto:lasseoe@acme.com, but the password is the same due to being AD joined. I can't seem to find a way to make this work seamlessly with 1Password - is there no way to have one item but tie a specific login name to a URL or something like that?

Thanks,

Lasse

Hey @lasseoe, in your case, I would recommend the following setup:

    1) Login Item A with the username, lasseoe, and your password.
    - Add all websites that require these credentials to the item.

    2) Login Item B with the username, mailto:lasseoe@acme.com, and your password.
    - Add all websites that require these credentials to the item.

It would not be possible to update your password in one item and then have it automatically update in the other item. However, it is possible to update the password in one item, quickly find the second item through its https://support.1password.com/item-links, and update the password in the second item.

    I hope that helps!

You are not alone. Related discussion at https://1password.community/discussion/106132/suppress-the-reused-password-prompt, possibly other threads as well.
