Disable credit cards and addresses?
I have read a few posts about disabling credit cards and the suggestion seems to be to uncheck 'Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus' which technically works, but also disables the...

8 months agoHi jerrye, thanks for your question! My apologies for the delay in reply.
The short answer is we recommend using 1Password to fill and save all your most important information, from passwords to credit cards, and more. To my knowledge, this is not something we're planning to change in the near future.
That said, we certainly understand that everyone operates differently, and can have different security concerns or conveniences in mind. Could you share why you'd like to be able to prevent 1Password from filling saved credit card and address information? I'd be happy to share your feedback with the team.

I understand it's not quite what you're looking for, but I did also want to suggest a couple options other than deselecting autofill suggestions (this might apply for you too gfiumara):
- If your credit card/address information is stored elsewhere, and you're using another service to fill and save that information, you could store those details in 1Password as a different item type, such as a Secure Note. Secure Notes won't be suggested to fill.
- If this is primarily an issue for you with the browser extension, you could move credit card/address items to their own vault, then remove that vault from the suggested list:
- Right click the 1Password icon at the top right of your browser > Settings > Accounts & Vaults > Deselect the credit card/address vault (note this is set per browser, and not universally).
Thanks again!

I agree with the other posters. It would be useful to disable --individually would probably be best--credit card autofill. You asked for an example of how this my be helpful. In my case, I make extensive use of one-time, Faux--or virtual--credit card numbers tied to my actual card. Each site requiring a card has a unique card number good only at that site. Seldom, if ever, to I input my actual card number. This is analogous to Hide-my-Mail or Simplelogin false email addys. Thanks for your time.

Hi mygoodness! Thanks for following up and sharing your use case.
A per-card autofill behaviour option is an interesting idea, and I can definitely see the benefit. While I can't promise this is a feature that will be added, I've shared your feedback with our team.
Let us know if there's anything we can help with, and thanks again!
