Do I need 1Password for Safari?

I have 1Password 8.7.1
I keep getting update notifications in App Store for 1Password for Safari. That's in addition to update notifications for 1Password.
Do I need 1Password for Safari installed? Can I uninstall it to avoid extra updates?

    Hey stephenhart:

    Great question. 1Password for Safari is a separate app downloaded from the App Store that installs the 1Password extension for Safari. For the best experience, you need both 1Password, and 1Password for Safari.

    Thanks for the answer. Yes, I use Safari, and use 1Password in Safari all the time. Everything works.
    Do I need both 1Password and 1Password for Safari? It used to be that 1Password installed the extension.

    Do you use Safari?
    Do you want to use the 1Password Extension in Safari?
    If yes, then you need the app installed for the Extension to be availabe.
