Experiment #4 – New interface in 1Password.com’s vault view

Thanks for the feedback, jennifer7i884! This is something that's been on our minds too. It's a bit more technically complicated because currently items are encrypted with a key belonging to a vault. So you could technically achieve this by creating a new vault and moving the item there (instead of duplicating it), then sharing that vault with everyone who needs it.

But that's definitely not as good of a user experience as what you're describing, so we need to go back to the drawing board a bit to provide the ideal solution.
