Specifically I'm logging into Windows and I need to specify a new Windows password, so I make one up on a piece of paper, written down, then update it in 1Password once I've changed it during logon. I know how long it needs to be, so I could pre-create it in 1Password beforehand, Windows reminds me on the days just before it expires.
