Feature request: Alternative auto-lock and disable forced use of password

Hey!

We have a few PC's that is never idling, as they're running all kinds of input related services. So it would be nice if 1password could auto-lock the set time after last use of 1password instead of system idle.

And it would be nice to be able to not force the use of password after 30 days and restarts, if it's too insecure, consider a biometric/windows hello + pin code for those situations.

    Hi @spartan!

Thanks for getting in touch with us about these feature requests.

I've seen some other requests to lock 1Password if the app itself is idle for a given amount of time. If this type of feature would work for you, I'd be happy to pass this request along to the Product team on your behalf.

And it would be nice to be able to not force the use of password after 30 days and restarts, if it's too insecure, consider a biometric/windows hello + pin code for those situations.

    This option is currently available:
    * Use Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on your Windows PC

Additionally, if your device uses a hardware backed Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0, the use of Windows Hello will persist through reboots of your device:
    * Use Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on your Windows PC - Manage your settings

Additionally, when that setting is enabled, you'll be presented with the Require password: Never option. Please note: there maybe times when the account password is still required.

I hope this information helps, but if you have any further questions, just let us know. We'll be here for you!
