Feedback: Searching from menu bar opens desktop app
My biggest annoyance with 1Password for Mac 8 is that when you click on the menu bar icon and it opens up a search field, the desktop app also opens, and then stays open, littering my dock, until I quit. On 1Password 7, I sometimes go weeks without opening the app because I can do everything I need from the menu bar and the browser extension.
Also, this seems like it must be a bug: if I quit 1Password from the file menu, the menu bar icon remains and I stayed logged in. But if I right click on the icon in the dock and quit, it closes the menu bar item and when I relaunch I have to log in again—the equivalent of "Quit 1Password Completely" (which seems to be gone).

Hi benmattison, thanks for taking the time to write this up. I've spoken with our developers about this, and it is something that is actively being worked on. While I can't provide much in the way of specifics yet, what you've mentioned here is very much top of mind. We hope that you'll be pleased with what future updates to 1Password bring!
