Floating window in Arc

I have a similar issue since an Arc Browser update.

When I click on the 1password icon into the login field, instead of the regular TouchID prompt, I have a floating window from the browser extension asking my password.

If I close this floating window, and I retry by clicking the 1password icon from the login field, now I have the TouchID system window.

Is there a chance to avoid the password prompt ?

MacOS 15.4.1
Arc Browser 1.93.0
1Password 8.10.75

Thanks

    Hi Dave

My issue is related to the original post from I replied from my point of view.
This is why I replied into it.

Actually, activating 1Password in my menu bar solves my problem.

This confirms that there is an issue with 1Password when this daemon is not active on Macs.

  • Hello MacSpyre! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into an issue when using 1Password in Arc Browser, I've split your reply into a new thread since it looks like you're running into a different issue than the other person.

I'm sorry to hear that 1Password isn't working properly with your browser. It sounds like communication between the 1Password extension in your browser and the 1Password for Mac app isn't quite working. To fix this please do the following:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

Let me know if that doesn’t fix the issue. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
